Our family trip to Italy was nothing short of extraordinary. The most common phrase that was said throughout our trip was, “I am never booking a vacation without Gina and her team again.”

To say that our trip was a success would be an understatement. Gina and her team put together an incredible trip for the four of us traveling through Florence, Rome, Positano, and Capri.

Our days were filled with enchanting walking tours led by brilliant guides who brought the rich histories of Florence and Rome to life. We had a fabulous trip! It’s really hard to pick a favorite place or day because everything was so unique that I loved it all. All of the guides you arranged were wonderful. We learned so much everywhere we went that I’m still remembering things everyday.

The wineries were picturesque and are hopefully etched in my memory because as hard as I tried the pictures just don’t do the scenery justice. 

And the food! Wow! The winery tours and lunches were perfect and the Roman food tour was so much fun. I wish I had known more about Pompeii before we went there but we learned a lot during our tour.

Our Italy trip was planned so perfectly by AT Escapes. Everything about it was amazing. Our tour was to the Southern part of Italy. My husband and I visited Sicily, Tropea Calabria, Positano, and Capri.

The service, from all our rides from town to town and all the tours, was unbelievable. Gina took care of planning it out for us. We never had to wait for anything. All our tour guides were always there on time.

Gina was absolutely amazing and such a pleasure to work with in helping us plan, organize, and make our Italian vacation a dream. She was always quick to respond with any questions or changes we had throughout the planning process.

Gina and her complete team AT Escapes are awesome.  This trip was planned prior to Covid and had to be rescheduled several times due to the pandemic.  Gina didn’t give up and made it happen for us though.  Every detail in the planning was personal to us and the complete itinerary was well thought out. 

We made it to 12 places in 2 weeks and didn’t feel rushed at all.  We started in Paris and ended in Italy.  The art/history is amazing in Italy, but the best parts for us was the agritourism tour, private Limoncello and Marmalade experience, and the cooking with lemons class in Amalfi.

Once again another wonderful trip planned by Gina at AT Escapes.

Loved shopping in Milan, tour of Duomo that allowed you to walk on roof which gave you fantastic views of Milan and the Duomo. A day trip to Lake Como was spent with a wine tasting, visiting the cute villages and just enjoying the beautiful scenery of the lake area. Then onto the train from Milan to Paris with my daughter and grandson.

What to say about Paris.  My first visit to  Paris was at age 21 in 1973 and I remember loving the city but a little overwhelmed, and I am sure I saw the city in a totally different way.  Now in 2023 and a little older it is still a beautiful city and I loved it this time also.

The lights (Paris has a 2-hour daylight saving time- I thought it was never going to get dark to see those lights), the sights (so many), the cute cafes (again so many) with wonderful food and drink. And  I can’t  leave out the people of Paris who were friendly, kind and very helpful. ( I have never met a rude person in Paris even though that is what you always hear).

Our hotel which was located in The St Germaine area was ideal. Loved the location. What can I say except Paris is a beautiful city and one that should not be missed even though my love is for Italy.

We will forever remember the people we met during our travels from the drivers to the tour guides to the hotel staff, all set up by Gina. Even when we lost our passports, she took care of everything for us. This trip was rescheduled 3x due to Covid and Gina graciously helped us every step of the way. I just want to thank you again! Gina, our trip was nothing short of amazing! You planned the trip so perfectly for us, one would think that we were old friends. There is nothing that we would have changed. Also, mid to late October ended up being a wonderful time to visit. The temperature was never uncomfortable and there were no overwhelming crowds. Also, we aren’t typically the type to enjoy having a tour guide, but our time with Gabriele and Molly hold some of our most endearing memories. The Amalfi Coast and Tuscany have a piece of our hearts!

Gina and her team at AT Escapes went out of their way in every aspect of our trip to Italy and Greece. Our trip was delayed a year due to the pandemic, but that did not seem to phase the team at AT Escapes. They reworked our travel arrangements multiple times and made sure we capitalized on any available vouchers. All necessary information about traveling to Europe was provided in an organized and timely fashion. Gina was very easy to get ahold of and was always available to answer any questions we had for our first time traveling abroad. Visiting Iceland was on our bucket list, so for our 40th anniversary my husband and I decided this is where we wanted to go. The Greece tour was a dream come true for me. Gina, our leader, was wonderful! She arranged a pampering, fun-filled,informative vacation.
In Athens and Santorini we were accompanied by tour guides that were both knowledgeable and entertaining. The hotels we stayed at were 5 star. The service given to us by the staff was first-class.

Watching history unfold in Athens was truly remarkable. The temples of the gods, the first Olympic stadium and museums were breathtaking. Watching the beautiful sunset on our private chartered dinner cruise in Santorini was something I'll never forget. I can't leave out all the wonderful people I met on this tour. Life is always a journey and you can make it more of an adventure when you travel with this fantastic group. Sevilla was gorgeous and the Alhambra is a design inspiration. After we left there we traveled to Gibraltar and ventured to the top of the "rock" where we could see the tip of Africa.

We fell in love with Tuscany! And we met the priest in the small town in Chianti who renewed our vows in Italian during the 11:00 Sunday mass. What a wonderful way to celebrate our 40th anniversary. All the people in church came up to us after mass to wish us “auguri"!

Our trip to Positano Italy was more than I had imagined. The location is like a storybook seaside village built into the side of a mountain. It is very unique, very picturesque. The food is delicious. We enjoyed everywhere we ate. One of the highlights was the cooking classes. Cooking with the Chefs in their kitchens was a great experience. We cooked with the freshest vegetables right from their gardens. The mozzarella, chicken and fish fresh that day. The hotel was charming and the staff very accommodating.
